Support field Automation and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems on oil and gas wells. Working with a team, candidate will set up and troubleshoot various well control devices (VSDs, Compressors, RTUs, Tank level gauges, etc.) in a SCADA environment. A variety of software will be used to establish communication and data acquisition with field devices, including Cygnet, AES Autosol, and GMR. Maintain and troubleshoot HTML pages that host SCADA information, receive support calls and change requests from end users, monitor well communications, coordinate repairs and support calls with appropriate departments. Candidate will work with production accounting and measurement groups to facilitate transfer of data between systems. Candidate will preferably have a Bachelor's degree in CIS or equivalent and 3 years' software or systems development experience, but will consider appropriate experience in lieu of degree. A high school diploma or G.E.D. is mandatory. Understanding of basic scripting is required. Database experience and knowledge of IP routing and networking is helpful. On the job training is available for the Cygnet software portion of the position. Strong customer service skills are extremely important, as this position requires the ability to communicate effectively with personnel at all levels of the organization. The position is located in the Denver Division office. Candidate can expect up to 30% travel, and some night and weekend work required as well as being in an on call rotation. Position will be filled at a level commensurate with experience.
