As Satellite System Integration & Test Engineer you will be responsible for; Support the full functional verification and validation lifecycle for satellite systems, including mapping technical requirements to appropriate test strategies and verification methods. Develop comprehensive test plans, test procedures, and verification documentation aligned with system‑level requirements. Design, build, and refine automated test systems, ground support equipment, and test tooling to improve efficiency and consistency. Execute validated test procedures, collect and analyze test data, and generate detailed test reports, non‑conformance records, and supporting documentation. Troubleshoot issues related to flight hardware, test equipment, or automated systems, ensuring timely resolution and documentation. Participate in cross‑functional coordination activities spanning system engineering, integration, operations, and product assurance. Support system architecture tasks, including trade studies, requirements updates, and generation of mission‑level documentation such as CONOPS, algorithms, and interface definitions. Revise and maintain functional specifications to incorporate new mission needs and customer requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 9+ years of aerospace engineering experience, including 5+ years working in satellite operations, system engineering, integration, and test (SEIT).
  • Hands‑on experience with satellite system testing, functional verification, and validation processes.
  • Proficiency with common systems engineering and test tools (e.g., requirements management, command/control environments, workflow tracking systems).
  • Familiarity with spacecraft subsystems such as guidance and control, power systems, data handling, avionics, and software.
  • Experienced with producing and resolving test flags, non‑conformance reports, and quality assurance documentation.
  • Background in object‑oriented languages (e.g., C/C++) and scripting (e.g., Python, TCL).
  • Ability to interpret engineering documentation, including schematics, mechanical drawings, CAD models, and cable/wire lists.
  • Understanding of the full space mission lifecycle—from requirements development through build, test, launch, and operations.
  • U.S. citizenship required; able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
