The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) Senior Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer delivers scalable, high-quality solutions within the Marketing Cloud platform, including automation, integrations, and data-driven reporting. This role partners with the marketing team and solution architects to optimize processes, execute a strategic platform roadmap, and continuously enhance platform capabilities.

  • Manage the administration, configuration, and optimization of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform.
  • Design and implement scalable, end-to-end technical solutions using the Marketing Cloud suite of products.
  • Translate business and marketing requirements into well-designed technical solutions.
  • Collaborate with solution architects and stakeholders on CRM customizations and cross-cloud integrations to support Marketing Cloud solutions.
  • Develop and maintain custom solutions leveraging AMPscript, SSJS, and Guide Template Language to enable personalization, dynamic content, and advanced automation.
  • Build and optimize CloudPages, landing pages, forms, and microsites using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AMPscript.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries for audience segmentation, data extraction, and targeting; ensure the integrity and performance of the Marketing Cloud contact data model.
  • Integrate Marketing Cloud with external systems using REST and SOAP APIs to support data synchronization, campaign automation, and personalized experiences.
  • Maintain and document technical processes, data flows, and marketing automation procedures to ensure consistency and scalability.
  • Leverage Marketing Cloud reporting and analytics tools to monitor campaign performance, track key metrics, and generate actionable insights.
  • Design and deliver dashboards and reports to stakeholders, enabling data-driven decision-making and continuous optimization of marketing strategies.
  • Stay current with Salesforce Marketing Cloud product updates, enhancements, and best practices; proactively recommend platform improvements.
  • Partner with peers to exchange best practices and contribute to continuous improvement of team processes.
  • Attend and actively participate in required training and/or meetings, including but not limited to New Teammate Orientation, WWP Cares, ASIST Suicide Prevention training, Leadership training, culture/team based training, or departmental huddles.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), including Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Audience Builder, Mobile Connect, Personalization Builder, Social Studio, Interaction Studio, and Advertising Studio.
  • Proficient in developing automated solutions with SSJS, AMPscript, and Guide Template Language.
  • Skilled in front-end development for CloudPages using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AMPscript.
  • Extensive experience in SQL, data modeling, and database technologies (RDBMS, NoSQL); deep understanding of Marketing Cloud's contact data model.
  • Working knowledge of system integrations using REST and SOAP web services.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce Marketing Cloud analytics, reporting, and Content Builder.
  • Proven ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and critical-thinking skills; proven ability to manage multiple projects and resolve complex issues.
  • Effective communicator with both technical and non-technical audiences; strong team collaboration and interpersonal skills.

  • Five years of experience as a Salesforce Marketing Cloud administrator or developer.
  • Five years of experience using Journey Builder, Content Builder, and Mobile Studio.
  • Three years of experience implementing full life cycle projects in Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Two years of experience developing solutions with AMPscript and Content Builder.
  • Two years of experience working in Agile/SCRUM environments with associated tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related relevant field. Equivalent combination of applicable education, training, certification, and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Salesforce Certified Data Cloud Consultant Certification.
  • Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Engagement Administrator Certification.
  • One year of experience collaborating on Salesforce CRM development and customizations (e.g., Apex, Visualforce) to support cross-cloud integrations.
  • Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Engagement Developer Certification.
  • Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Email Specialist Certification.
