A reasonable estimate of the current range is: Grade: Technical 410 Pay Range: $140,200.00 - $217,200.00 Job Description The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for the research, design, development, analysis, testing, and implementation of software operating or application systems. They communicate project information to client, project manager, or other design personnel working on projects. They maintain good working relationships with clients and staff. They write and maintains complete documentation. They support team members and ensures established goals and deadlines are met. They keep management informed of status and significant problems. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 7 or more years of Salesforce and software development experience, including Apex classes, triggers, batch jobs, LWCs, Aura, and Salesforce APIs.
  • Experience with Salesforce DX, scratch orgs, and CI/CD (Gearset, Copado, Jenkins).
  • Experience with web technologies such as Java, REST, and integration tools (MuleSoft, Boomi, Workato).
  • Experience with at least one cloud platform (AWS preferred; GCP or Azure acceptable).
  • Technical experience with GIT, SQL, Spring/Spring Boot, Java, Angular 2+, and AWS services.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC models, system design, design patterns, abstraction, algorithms, security, and complexity.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage teams, present solutions, and manage expectations.
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I and II certifications required.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree or PhD in a related field.
  • Experience with IntelliJ or VS Code, Jira, Git.
  • Experience with Agile or Scrum environments.
  • Background in online higher education or distance‑learning environments.
  • Additional technical certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a technical expert in Salesforce engineering, contributing to design, development, testing, and implementation of scalable solutions.
  • Lead or consult on complex engineering efforts, providing mentorship and guidance to engineers across the team.
  • Translate functional and non-functional requirements into high‑quality designs and code, identifying gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Communicate effectively across disciplines to resolve issues, accelerate delivery, and support organizational outcomes.
  • Contribute to rapid identification and resolution of system problems to minimize downtime and restore services quickly.
  • Apply sound engineering strategies to optimize testing efforts, quality, and implementation timelines.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts across the team, offering technical insights, training recommendations, and emerging technology guidance.
