About The Position

A successful Senior Salesforce Developer will lead the design, build, test, and deployment of scalable Salesforce solutions across Intermountain Health to improve processes and support organizational success. The incumbent will collaborate with peers, project teams, and business partners to deliver secure, high quality applications tailored to clinical and operational needs. This role involves developing and documenting custom Salesforce components—including Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, and API integrations—while leveraging both low code/no code and advanced customizations. The Senior Developer ensures reliable, reusable, and compliant solutions, coordinating with vendors and third parties to integrate Salesforce effectively into Intermountain’s technical ecosystem. This role will work Monday-Friday during regular business hours. We are committed to offering flexible work options where approved and stated in the job posting. However, we are currently not considering candidates who reside or plan to reside in the following states: California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Washington. Please note that a video interview through Microsoft Teams will be required as well as potential onsite interviews and meetings.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated technical experience such as software development, technical analysis, data analysis, business systems administration, quality assurance and testing, etc.
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering high-quality, results-driven solutions using enterprise-grade tools.
  • Strong proficiency in Salesforce development tools such as Apex (Triggers, Classes), Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, Flows, and Process Builder.
  • Hands‑on experience with integrations and APIs, using tools like Postman, JSON, and web services to connect Salesforce with enterprise systems.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce automation and workflow tools such as Flow, Process Builder, Assignment Rules, Approval Processes, and OmniStudio to streamline business processes and enhance user productivity.
  • Experience with Salesforce reporting and analytics capabilities, including Reports, Dashboards, Einstein Analytics/CRM Analytics, and data visualization within Salesforce to deliver actionable insights.
  • Ability to design, develop, and integrate Salesforce applications and components using appropriate configurations and customizations to deliver scalable, secure, and high‑quality solutions.
  • Applied understanding of enterprise architecture including but not limited to:: Security protocols, network configuration, database provisioning, server frameworks, etc.
  • Interact with others by effectively communicating, both orally and in writing
  • Operate computers and other office equipment requiring the ability to move fingers and hands
  • See and read computer monitors and documents
  • Remain sitting or standing for long periods of time to perform work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment
  • May require lifting and transporting objects and office supplies, bending, kneeling and reaching

Nice To Haves

  • Industry‑recognized Salesforce certifications preferred: Salesforce Administrator, Platform App Builder, Platform Developer I & II.
  • Candidates with expertise on Salesforce platform are strongly preferred.
  • AI/Machine Learning proficiency like: Language/Multi-modal models (LLMs), Natural Language Processing, Predictive AI models, Categorization models, Deep Neural Networks, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, troubleshoot, and implement Salesforce solutions including Apex classes, Lightning Web Components, Flows, and custom workflows.
  • Build and maintain user interfaces and automation within Salesforce to support business and clinical processes.
  • Manage assigned tickets and queues, resolving issues promptly and identifying trends to propose proactive solutions.
  • Participate in all phases of Salesforce implementations, including configuration, customization, integration, and data migration.
  • Deliver secure, high‑quality, results‑driven solutions using Salesforce best practices, enterprise methodologies, and healthcare compliance standards.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation including design specifications, solution architecture, and deployment guides.
  • Apply programming and scripting knowledge to extend Salesforce functionality and integrate with external systems.
  • Leverage continuous process improvement principles to optimize workflows and enhance user adoption.
  • Follow the Salesforce development lifecycle including sandbox testing, change management, and deployment practices.
  • Configure and consume APIs and web services to enable seamless data exchange between Salesforce and other enterprise applications.
  • Support and maintain existing Salesforce applications, ensuring stability, scalability, and performance.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, maintaining trust and confidence during service recovery or issue resolution.
