About The Position

This role is primarily focused on sales and account management for customers in COLORADO. Candidates based in, or able to regularly support, the Colorado market are strongly preferred. A Day in Your Life at MKS: As a Senior Sales Territory Manager, you will partner with the US Regional Sales team to manage all Sales and Account Management related activities for customers located in the mountain west geography (based out of Colorado). This role reports directly to the US Regional Sales Director. You Will Make an Impact By: Selling all Vacuum Solutions Division products and services to new and existing customers in the defined geography Meeting or exceeding quarterly and annual sales goals for all products and services in the defined geography. Taking the primary selling role on larger or more strategic customers in the defined geography with support from Inside Sales and Application Engineering teams. Quickly learning a broad product portfolio and gaining application knowledge to serve as a high-level technical resource for customers in the defined geography. Providing technical and administrative product information and/or demonstrations to customers. Creating and updating sales leads and sales opportunity funnels for near and long-term time periods. Creating and updating accurate quarterly and annual sales forecasts for the defined geography.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with a thorough working knowledge of company products, services, functions, marketing materials, and policies
  • 8+ years of related experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be comfortable presenting to small and medium audiences.
  • Experienced with modern software platforms including but not limited to Microsoft Excel and Salesforce
  • Ability to travel for an extended period via conventional means (air, car, train, etc.).
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time.
  • Perform activities such as sitting, standing, or typing for extended periods of time.
  • Regularly requires good manual dexterity and coordination.
  • Must be able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
  • Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment for extended periods of time.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior work experience with vacuum applications and instrumentation.
  • Work experience in a technical role outside of Sales ideally preferred.
