About The Position
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Sales Tax Accountant in Maitland, FL. The Senior Sales Tax Accountant will process, prepare, and analyze financial statements in compliance with GAAP. This role involves performing account reconciliations and ensuring the accuracy of general ledger transactions, assisting in the month-end and year-end closing processes, and managing corporate and partnership tax provisions to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Additionally, the Senior Sales Tax Accountant will conduct sales tax research, register for necessary jurisdictions, and ensure compliance with state and local tax requirements. Coordination with external auditors and tax consultants for audits and tax filings is also a key responsibility. The role includes developing and implementing internal controls to enhance financial processes and reporting accuracy, supporting budgeting and forecasting efforts by providing financial insights and variance analysis, and preparing tax-related documentation and reports for corporate and partnership entities. Monitoring changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and recommending adjustments as needed, as well as identifying and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency in financial reporting and tax compliance, are also part of the job. Other related duties may be assigned.
