At 1-Tom-Plumber Long Island, our mission is simple: protect homes, deliver exceptional service, and grow pros into leaders. We do it by combining diagnostics, sales, and service into one seamless experience that gives clients clear choices and real solutions. We’re not “just another plumbing company” – we’re the emergency plumber Long Island calls first, backed by a bold brand, a proven process, and a protection-first mindset. We’re hiring a Senior Sales & Service Plumbing Technician who wants to win, learn, grow, and teach . Someone who takes pride in their craft, radiates humble confidence, and holds themselves to a higher standard than any boss ever could. You’ll wear the pink & black as a top producer, mentor, and field leader – setting the bar for how our clients are treated and how our team performs. This is more than a plumbing job. It’s a high-accountability, high-upside field leadership role . You’ll run complex residential service calls, lead by example on diagnostics and option-based selling, and help sharpen the rest of the team through real-time support and training. You’ll be expected to consistently hit serious numbers each month while living our values: Revenue: $40,000–$50,000+ Membership conversion: 10%+ Average ticket: $700+ Reviews: 10+ 5-star Google reviews Opportunity conversion: 85–90% with rare callbacks You’ll partner closely with dispatch and operations, protect our reputation on every call, and help develop newer techs into true professionals. For the right person, this role is a direct path into Manager-on-Duty / field leadership, but the non-negotiable is this: be a protector, stay on call (mentally) until it’s fixed, and bring the energy. In Your First 12 Months, You’ll Focus On: Delivering 5-star client experiences on 3–4 high-quality calls per day through expert diagnostics, clear communication, and clean work. Consistently hitting revenue, membership, and review targets while honoring our ground rules: Service > Sales. Integrity > Revenue. People > Profit. Leading from the field – supporting techs in real time on estimates, troubleshooting, and options so they can close confidently and profitably. Owning your craft and your numbers: knowing your revenue, gross profit, memberships, and reviews without needing a reminder. Participating in weekly team meetings, weekly tech training, and regular 1:1s to sharpen skills and help shape the standard for the whole shop. Taking a fair share of after-hours work ( minimum 1 night per week and 1 weekend per month ) and showing up as the steady hand clients and teammates can count on.
