About The Position

Rogers Group, Inc., headquartered in Nashville, is a privately held aggregates and asphalt highway construction company operating in 13 states with over 3,500 employees. RGI, established in 1908, has the distinction of being recognized as the largest privately held aggregate producer in the United States. Rogers Group is currently seeking a Senior Sales Representative for the greater Cincinnati, OH area (Arch Materials) operations, reporting directly to the SMA Aggregates Sales Manager. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to lead safety, quality, and revenue generation across our existing operations and new operations as we grow.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience and success in a sales environment required.
  • Sales experience in the aggregates, asphalt, construction, or related industry strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of the marketing area is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree required, Business or Construction Management preferred.
  • Proven sales, negotiation, and customer service skills.
  • Capable of demonstrating product knowledge, market conditions, and competition.
  • Excellent verbal, written communications, and presentation skills required.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Occasional overnight travel is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Sales experience in the aggregates, asphalt, construction, or related industry strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Increasing revenue and margins through disciplined market management.
  • Maintaining favorable and effective relationships with current customers.
  • Identifying and prospecting new customers and capturing information in Salesforce.
  • Favorably resolving customer complaints as necessary.
  • Analyze market trends and develop action plans to capitalize on shifts in the market.
  • Develop specific strategies to obtain new business.
  • Working with internal teams to ensure product quality and availability.
  • Assist in overseeing the sales process from pricing to preparing contracts, forecasting, and assisting in credit and collections.
  • Assessing sales functions and potential on prospective acquisitions.
