About The Position

The Senior Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth by developing, managing and growing key market segments for the hotel. This role oversees strategic sales initiatives, builds strong client relationships, and collaborates closely with the operations and revenue management teams to ensure the successful execution of sales strategies.

Requirements

  • Professional demeanor appropriate for a resort environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years prior hotel sales experience and/or revenue operations.
  • Detailed-oriented, quality focused, and resourceful with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective planning and organizational skills to implement multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent group presentation, writing, and speaking skills.
  • Ability to effectively deal with internal and external clients.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
  • Ability to communicate in the English language.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including holidays and weekends and able to perform multiple tasks.
  • Experience using computers and software programs such as Delphi, Microsoft Office (Word, Publisher, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Comfortable with the use of the Internet as a research tool.

Nice To Haves

  • Second language is a plus.
  • 4- year college degree from accredited university preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the target market.
  • Develop and execute sales plans to achieve or exceed revenue targets in assigned market segments.
  • Prepare and present sales proposals, contracts, and presentations to clients and partners.
  • Manage key accounts and maintain long-term client relationships to ensure repeat business.
  • Ability to identify and resolve concerns that may arise during the sales process or event execution.
  • Familiarity with the meetings and events industry.
  • Respond to inquiries and requests for proposals.
  • Building relationships with existing clients, understanding their needs, and providing excellent customer service.
  • Developing and executing sales strategies, negotiating rates and contracts, and closing agreements.
  • Research client room night histories for previous meetings and manager room blocks.
  • Tracking and analyzing sales data, setting and achieving sales targets, and providing regular reports.
  • Staying up to date on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging market opportunities.
  • Attending industry events, networking with potential clients, and building strong relationships.
  • Exhibit diplomacy, business analysis, negotiation, and proposal writing and presentation skills.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as required by management.
