THE ROLE: Senior Sales Manager, Walmart & Sam's: EMJ is seeking a passionate and driven Senior Sales Manager to help grow our proudly B-Corp business at Walmart and Sam’s Club. The Senior Sales Manager will support the Senior Director of Sales in growing Every Man Jack's Walmart and Sam's Club business. This person will have operational responsibility from day one—owning forecasts, timelines, compliance, and cross-functional coordination. Over time, they will grow to fully own the Beard category and our Holiday programs at Walmart, and the Sam's Club business, building buyer relationships, leading meetings independently, and using data analytics to drive category growth. The role requires strong decision-making and the ability to work independently, with guidance from the Sr. Director, while maintaining an efficiency and growth-oriented mindset. The Sr. Sales Manager reports directly to the Sr. Sales Director with additional support from Sales Planning, Shopper Marketing, and Broker Partners. Requirements

  • 5-10 years working in a sales role for a CPG company
  • 5+ years recent experience working with Walmart
  • Hands-on experience with Scintilla Charter strongly preferred
  • Must be results-oriented. Ability to think both strategically and tactically with a track record of taking ownership and driving meaningful results
  • Ability to manage requirements for multiple projects working with peers offering clear prioritization, planning, and task delegation
  • Strong problem-solving skills, accountability for delivering superior results on time and on budget
  • Team player possessing strong interpersonal skills, ability to develop relationships, manage brokers & communicate with all levels of management
  • Strong work ethic and ability to excel in remote sales environment with limited oversight
  • Organized, positive, and high-energy individual with an entrepreneurial spirit and an ability to execute with high attention to detail
  • Proactive approach to anticipate issues and provide solutions

Responsibilities

  • Proactively own all operational processes to drive flawless execution. Anticipate challenges and implement solutions to protect business performance
  • Lead forecasts, compliance, in-stock management, inventory planning, promotional plans (including displays) and timelines for merchandising programs and new item launches
  • Drive alignment across cross-functional teams internally and externally (including Broker partner), proactively anticipating and resolving issues
  • Lead the strategic direction and annual growth of Walmart Beard, Holiday, and Sam's Club businesses. Develop account strategies and drive category expansion
  • Own buyer relationships and lead discussions independently, shaping strategies that align EMJ's objectives with Walmart's priorities
  • Partner to co-develop joint business plans that unlock distribution and off-shelf opportunities
  • Proactively identify business opportunities and risks through independent analysis using Scintilla Charter and syndicated data. Shape strategic recommendations that influence buyer decisions.
