About The Position

Placed right in the heart of the action the New York Hilton Midtown is looking for its next Senior Sales Manager! This hotel offers 1,878 guestrooms and an impressive 150,000 square feet of versatile event space. With 49 meeting rooms, including the largest ballroom spanning 21,673 square feet, it's an ideal destination for conferences, conventions, and upscale gatherings in the heart of Manhattan. Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of group sales experience, with the ability to effectively manage a high volume of leads while consistently driving results. They should be highly motivated to close business and demonstrate a proven track record of success in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment. Shift Pattern: This role is primarily Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm with the ability to be flexible with their time to accommodate any client engagement events and site inspections. Salary Range: Range for this position is $110,000 - $115,000.00 annually and will be aligned with the candidate's experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Represents the hotel in the development of market segment(s) and new customer relationships while maintaining existing relationships with assigned accounts, consistently striving to maximize revenue in rooms, public space, food and beverage, and ancillary products and services.
  • Solicit, respond to, and negotiate with persons requiring large and complex group accommodations (generally over 50 guest rooms) with or without meeting space and/or on-site (hotel) catering.
  • Negotiate contracts with customers and commission agreements with third-party agencies.
  • Initiate the preparation of proposals and/or contracts to advise prospective customers primarily of the hotel guest rooms, but also meeting space and/or banquet date, space, and rate availability.
  • Engage in outside sales activities to discuss business opportunities and entertain customers in local and assigned markets.
  • Conduct site inspections with potential customers, visiting guest rooms, meeting space and banquet facilities, as well as other hotel facilities and conflicts.
  • Attend weekly sales departmental meeting and other scheduled meetings to support business operations.
