About The Position

The Hilton Cleveland is seeking a Senior Sales Manager to join our team following a recent retirement. In this exciting role, you'll take the lead in managing group business ranging from 100-1,199 peak rooms, with opportunities to drive revenue through meeting space and food & beverage sales. As a key member of our team, you'll have the chance to build strong client relationships, create impactful experiences, and contribute to the continued success of our iconic hotel in the heart of downtown Cleveland.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hotel group sales experience.
  • Strong understanding of hotel sales processes with a hunger to grow and collaborate.
  • Comfortable engaging directly with decision makers; strong critical thinking skills.
  • Passion for sales, achieving targets, and exceeding objectives.

Nice To Haves

  • Large, Big box hotel experience (500+ rooms and 40,000+ sq. ft. of convention space) is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Delphi.fdc/Salesforce.
  • Prior experience with Hilton processes and programs.

Responsibilities

  • Secure groups and conventions by building and establishing relationships with customers.
  • Research, solicit and generate new leads for group opportunities through database research and proactive sales efforts.
  • Represent the hotel in the development of market segment(s) and new customer relationships while maintaining existing relations with assigned accounts.
  • Develop a business strategy by analyzing historical, current and future hotel and market trends.
  • Apply strong sales skills to create customer value and differentiate Hilton from the competition.
  • Demonstrate a mastery of the prospecting process and identify potential customers.
  • Negotiate contracts and commission agreements with end user customers and intermediaries.
  • Engage Hilton Worldwide Sales, Convention Bureau and Intermediaries to retain existing customers and secure new business for the Hotel.
  • Conduct site inspections through masterful storytelling with prospective and existing customers.
  • Maintain up to date pipeline of business opportunities that will meet the short and long term business objectives for the designated market.
