About The Position

The Service Senior Sales Executive / Account Executive is committed to supporting our Service Agreements business within our commercial Smart Buildings Building Automation Service team. Our Sales team supports our Building Automation Operations team whose focus is to perform automation service and maintenance in large commercial buildings such as hospitals, universities, and industrial facilities. Our Sales Executives are ambassadors of quality Siemens technology, products and services, and your expertise and regular interaction with the customers will help them optimize and facilitate a safe, emergency-ready workplace. This position can be either a Senior Sales Executive or Account Executive level depending on directly related experience.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or state-recognized GED.
  • 3+ years of experience within Siemens Building Automation in a related role or 3+ years sales experience within the commercial building automation, HVAC controls, and/or energy services industries.
  • Demonstrate financial expertise to estimate and sell technical solutions and service offerings effectively.
  • Verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Demonstrate organizational, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

  • Experience selling to end users/owners and understanding how to market, position, and sell cloud-based, data-driven service programs.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve new order and profit goals based on your assigned quota for both service projects and service agreements.
  • Develop and maintain a qualified funnel of opportunities including forecasting expected order intake.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the marketplace, competitor offerings, customers, and decision influencers across the region.
  • Develop a vertical market and account management plan that focuses on strategic growth in energy, automation, and digital services.
  • Identify new business opportunities to grow in new markets or adjacent segments and develop 'go to market' strategies.
  • Act as a consultant to multiple levels of the customer’s organization by understanding their challenges and recommending services.
  • Attend industry-specific networking events and actively participate in professional organizations.
  • Consult with the customer and determine budgeting and investment requirements.
  • Position Siemens as an industry leader among service providers.
  • Collaborate with operations and internal teams to deliver excellent customer outcomes.
  • Work with internal sales support to enable more time with customers.
  • Collaborate with sales estimators to prepare cost estimates and customer bid packages.
  • Partner with other sales business teams to plan, target, and acquire new projects and accounts.
  • Work with operations, finance, legal and other resources to obtain the sale.
  • Actively participate in sales department meetings, workshops, and seminars.
  • Spend minimum 50% of time in customer facing activities.
  • Spend one to two days in office for team collaboration and strategy development meetings.
  • Travel overnight ~10% for training and business development.
