About The Position

We empower teams across various industries, from Fortune 500 companies to innovative startups, to unlock the full potential of their data. Our sales engineering team is crucial in helping customers solve problems and act as trusted advisors, ensuring that we do right by our customers even if it means recommending other solutions. We are looking for talented Sales Engineers to help build and mature our sales engineering function in a fast-growth startup environment.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of technical, customer-facing experience, ideally at the Principal SE level or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, APIs, networking, security, identity management, and compliance.
  • Experience managing complex, long-cycle, multi-stakeholder deals.
  • Ability to design and run enterprise-grade POCs, ensuring performance, security, and governance needs are met.
  • Strong executive presence to lead conversations with both executives and technical teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in mentoring peers across the sales engineering organization.
  • Familiarity with the modern data stack and open-source projects.

Responsibilities

  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, including CDOs, Data Platform leaders, data engineers, and analysts.
  • Act as a trusted advisor for data teams in building modern data platforms.
  • Evangelize Atlan and the principles of an agile data culture to the broader data community.
  • Provide customers with necessary information to make decisions about integrating Atlan into their workflows.
  • Set up customized demo flows, run trials and POCs, and conduct office hours.
  • Gather customer feedback and collaborate with the product team to incorporate it into the product roadmap.
