We’re seeking a skilled, client-focused, and leadership-minded Senior Sales & Service Plumbing Technician who takes pride in their craft, lifts others up, and helps drive the future of our team. This is more than a plumbing position — it’s a leadership and development role that blends technical expertise, team mentorship, and high-level service. You will handle complex plumbing jobs, support technicians in the field, and run weekly training sessions to sharpen our team’s skills. You’ll also serve as Manager on Duty, ensuring our plumbers have the support they need from estimating through completion. You’ll set the tone for what professionalism looks like at 1-Tom-Plumber — every call, every client, every job.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in plumbing with a strong technical background.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and mentor a team effectively.
  • Strong sales acumen and client-focused mindset.
  • Ability to handle complex situations and after-hours calls.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with mobile apps and digital dispatch systems.
  • Previous leadership or training experience in a technical field.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering '5-Star' client experiences through expert diagnostics, communication, and craftsmanship.
  • Leading and training — owning the onboarding process for new plumbers and running weekly hands-on technical trainings.
  • Serving as Manager on Duty (MOD) on a rotating schedule — guiding technicians through job estimates, troubleshooting, and solution recommendations.
  • Driving consistent sales results, producing a minimum of $50,000 in monthly revenue through diagnostics and completed work.
  • Supporting technicians in real time to ensure quality control, safety, and adherence to company processes.
  • Partnering with dispatch and operations to maintain efficient schedules, transparent communication, and high team morale.
