About The Position
Bechtel has a strong commitment to protecting people and the environment as part of its mission, and is known for industry leadership in Environmental, Safety, and Health (ES&H). ES&H teams are comprised of three distinct disciplines that support our ES&H Management System and processes at project sites and offices. These teams include environmental scientists, safety specialists, and industrial hygiene scientists. Collectively, they provide technical guidance and perform planning, risk assessment, inspections and monitoring, training, and data management. An opportunity exists to work within the ES&H team at our Cardinal Project located in New Albany, Ohio. The Senior Safety Specialist helps develop and execute the safety component of an Environmental, Safety, and Health (ES&H) program. This involves administrative and field tasks per established industry practices, procedures, and regulatory and Bechtel requirements. The position requires practical application of occupational safety and related disciplines for managing safety and health aspects of a project or facility. This position is a field-based role with no direct reports. The position reports to an ES&H Area Supervisor and ES&H Manager or Deputy as required.
