You will report to the Manager – Worldwide Safety Assurance. This is a Full-Time role located in Anaheim, CA.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in maintenance operations as a Technician, Planner, Working Supervisor, and Service Manager equivalent roles. This can be in attractions, transportation, entertainment, or other Lines of Business.
  • Experience driving processes and accomplishing project goals.
  • Expert knowledge of Maximo, Business Objects, EDMS, SAP.
  • Familiarity in Safety Culture, SharePoint, MS Teams and Smartsheet use and maintenance.
  • Experience leading safety projects with a history of increasing responsibility.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with Disney preferably with parks and resorts.
  • History of working in a technical environment related to the engineering and equipment maintenance fields.
  • History of indirect personnel leadership including the ability to resolve technical content conflicts.
  • Demonstrated a strong process-oriented mindset with exceptional attention to detail, ensuring all tasks are executed precisely and consistently according to established standards.
  • Experience and understanding of Disney and industry safety-related standards, regulations, policies, and practices.
  • Recognition and adaptation to group dynamics, ability to moderate within varying circumstances (i.e. ability to “read the room” and adapt).
  • Proven ability to communicate within all levels of our organization, including executive management.
  • Excellent presentation skills and the ability to translate technical details for a non-technical executive audience.
  • Experience gaining consensus and leading improvements in a positive and collaborative manner.
  • Familiarity with Disney internal data systems including AMVS, Maximo, APEX, Splunk, HoTSOS, TrainMe, CRFs, or CyberDocs.
  • Demonstrates the physical capability and resilience required for the role, including standing for extended periods (8+ hours), walking several miles each day, and working in various weather conditions.
  • Comfortable wearing personal protective equipment, climbing steps, ladders, and scaffolds, as well as working in confined or dark spaces as needed to ensure operational excellence and safety.
  • You will work a flexible schedule, (rarely, but potentially including weekends, holidays and evenings)
  • Available to travel, with the possibility of international travel

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in maintenance / operations auditing e.g. Tier-II, Tier-III
  • Experience establishing and/or monitoring the health of safety critical processes and requirements.
  • Understanding of different cultures and methods among other Disney lines of businesses such as Entertainment, Walt Disney Imagineering, Maintenance and Engineering Services.
  • Core understanding of the Performance Alignment Model and auditing.
  • Proficiency with Smartsheet’s reporting and dashboard capabilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of Walt Disney World Resort policies and procedures, including union contract guidelines.
  • Associate’s Degree or higher equivalent experience (Engineering, Safety and Health, Industrial Maintenance, Construction Management - preferred)
  • Bachelor’s Degree-Preferred
  • Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) – preferred

Responsibilities

  • Data gathering and analysis from Disney data systems such as Maximo, HotSOS, SAP, and EDMS, to audit collected data against published processes.
  • In-field reviews of the processes of backstage and operational business activities to validate practices performed per published processes.
  • Developing expertise in multiple Lines of Business to achieve an understanding of their operating practices.
  • Build relationships with leaders at all levels to gain their trust and assure the audit findings, observations, and understandings developed are accurate to the operations in review.
  • Drive stakeholder agreement on any items from the audit processes to help develop actionable plans for mitigation.
  • Management and Executive project report-outs including driving follow-up requirements to completion.
  • Leading of indirect reporting Cast Members and Stakeholder personnel who are active in reviews being performed.
  • Maintain collaboration and timely communication with leaders, peers, and partners.
  • Have familiarity with attractions, transportation systems, entertainment, and/or cruise line businesses.
