Senior Safety and Security Officer
About The Position
Currey Ingram Academy is seeking a full-time Senior Safety and Security Officer to join our team beginning in the 2026-2027 school year. Security personnel with a heart for students and desire to be a strong ambassador in the school will be prioritized. Responsibilities include serving as a team member with the security staff for strategic oversight of campus safety and security needs, patrolling and monitoring the campus including video surveillance to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the campus, and directing traffic. Currey Ingram Academy is a co-ed, college-preparatory day and boarding school (JK–12 for day; 9–12 for boarding) located in beautiful Brentwood, TN. Requirements
- Minimum of a High School diploma
- Three years of relevant security experience
- Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check including fingerprint and psychological evaluations.
- Should be able to complete a 16-hour training course approved by the Tennessee insurance commissioner.
- Ability to respond to pressures, deadlines, and changing priorities
- Dexterity and stamina to perform various jobs (patrol, traffic direction, etc.) for extended periods in adverse weather conditions
- Maintains a level of physical fitness necessary for swift and effective response to campus emergencies
- Strong communication skills
- Experience with technology and security equipment
- Experience in the safe handling and employment of firearms
- Must maintain a passing score on the semi-annual firearms qualification course utilized by the school
Nice To Haves
- Must have at least five years of full-time law enforcement experience or four years of active military duty in a combat arms specialty is preferred.
