Role As a Senior Robotics Software Engineer focused on “Intelligent Factory”, you will lead the development and deployment of advanced robotics solutions and automation systems. You will closely collaborate with our Platform, Research groups, and industry partners to advance manufacturing automation by extending our core technology. Your daily responsibilities include developing and integrating complex software features for robotics automation, supporting the development of AI capabilities, and ensuring the successful deployment of impactful robotics solutions in production environments. You will also be essential in bridging the gap between R&D prototypes and production-ready systems within our "Factory of the Future" initiative. How your work moves the mission forward Lead the technical development of advanced robotics solutions and automation systems for manufacturing environments, utilizing the Intrinsic platform. Design, implement, test, and maintain high-quality software features to expand the Intrinsic platform's capabilities, with a focus on modularity and scalable architecture. Own the development of cell-level features, including the integration of robotics solutions with factory-level orchestration and local data collection engines. Document designs, processes, and results, communicating effectively with internal technical teams and development partners. Collaborate closely with our industry partners to successfully deploy developed robotics solutions and automation systems into production manufacturing settings. Skills you will need to be successful Master’s degree or equivalent practical background in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related technical field. Proven track record developing and deploying industrial robotics solutions and automation systems within manufacturing or production environments. Professional programming proficiency with C++ and/or Python, emphasizing Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and high-quality software practices. Practical experience building I/O interfaces and integrating systems with industrial protocols or manufacturing execution systems. Demonstrated capability in technical leadership, including setting project direction and guiding development efforts towards successful outcomes. Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal cross-functional teams and external technical partners. Skills that will differentiate your candidacy Experience with ROS 2 and its major frameworks. Demonstrated ability developing and deploying applications using technologies such as Kubernetes, gRPC, Protobuf, Bazel, microservice architectures, and/or real-time systems. Experience in the lateral integration of AI/ML models for complex robotic tasks, such as dexterous manipulation. Foundational understanding of AI concepts, robotics, and automation, with a strong desire to learn and contribute to their application in manufacturing environments. In addition to the salary range below, this full-time position is eligible for bonus + equity + benefits.
