Agtonomy’s TechOps team is seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Senior Robotics Operations Engineer to oversee the performance, reliability, and operational efficiency of our deployed robotic systems. This role is responsible for investigating field issues through deep-dive analysis, building scalable fleet monitoring and automation systems, and managing configuration across hardware and software versions.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in robotics operations, system integration, systems engineering, or a similar field.
  • Proven track record of resolving complex, SLA-affecting issues under tight time constraints.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, firmware, and software layers.
  • Proficiency in scripting (e.g., Python, Bash) and working with data/log analysis tools.
  • Experience with Linux-based systems, containerization (e.g., Docker), and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP).
  • Experience with monitoring platforms (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with configuration management systems and OTA update strategies.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills across technical and non-technical teams.
  • A proven track record of enabling customers of autonomous technologies.
  • Willingness to work on our customers’ schedules and at their locations, when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Lead root cause analysis of complex field issues using logs, telemetry, and system-level diagnostics.
  • Design and maintain monitoring infrastructure to detect anomalies and ensure fleet health at scale.
  • Develop automation tools and scripts to streamline triage, updates, and reporting.
  • Own configuration management across the fleet, including version control of firmware, parameters, and feature flags.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering and operations teams to resolve recurring issues and improve product robustness.
  • Define KPIs and build dashboards for operational visibility and performance tracking.
  • Own new site standup from initial site surveys through the delivery of Agtonomy’s autonomous tractors and beginning of operations.
  • Contribute to a better user experience, from our technology to our documentation and everything in between.
