About The Position

GAI Consultants is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead a large multi-discipline roadway reconstruction project for the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission and to support the development and growth of GAI's transportation practice. Key experience requirements include 20+ years of Project Management on complex roadway design projects for PennDOT, the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, and other local agencies across Pennsylvania. Requirements

  • 20+ years of Project Management experience on complex roadway design projects.
  • Knowledge and experience with PennDOT and the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission.
  • PE Registration in Pennsylvania is required.
  • B.S. or M.S. in Engineering, master's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) License, with reciprocity in multiple states.

  • Experience in business development strategy.
  • Experience managing projects valued up to $250,000 without GAI President's approval.
  • Strong leadership and team development skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a large multi-discipline roadway reconstruction project for the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission.
  • Support the development and growth of GAI's transportation practice.
  • Develop and implement business development strategies.
  • Oversee engineers in the development of plans and financial monitoring.
  • Act as GAI's client leadership representative.
  • Evaluate project management plans for complex engineering projects.
  • Develop risk mitigation plans to address project risks.
  • Negotiate critical and controversial issues with leadership.
  • Represent the organization at important functions and conferences.
