As a Senior Roadway Project Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to work closely with our existing talented engineers on some of the largest projects locally and across the country. Often working alongside a multi-disciplined team, your projects will primarily be focused in North Carolina for some of the area’s biggest clients varying in size and complexity.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering, or similar
• North Carolina PE
• Approximately 10 - 15 years of experience in highway design and local streets
• Familiarity with North Carolina Department of Transportation engineering practices, standards and documentation
• Experience with Microstation, Geopak, Bentley ORD, and Microsoft Office software
• Good decision-making skills, flexibility, focus on quality and attention to detail
• Ability to coordinate the work on various project design tasks
• Interact and communicate effectively with design team members, clients and other agencies

Responsibilities

• Designing highway/roadway and work both as part of a design team and independently.
• Evaluating, selecting, and applying standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
• Preparing design plans, specifications, and quantities.
• Reviewing and preparing calculations for project elements related to highway design.
• Reviewing and preparing preconstruction cost estimates for projects.
• Working with the team to prepare proposals.
• Attending meetings with clients with other members of the project team.
• Preparing of design plans, specifications, and quantities.
