The primary duties of the Senior Roadway Manager include planning, directing and monitoring all aspects of large multidiscipline projects or medium sized projects with a high degree of technical complexity, involving a diverse project staff. Is involved with the production and coordination of several projects concurrently. Conducts schematic, design development and contract document work sessions at project sites in conjunction with other project managers, appropriate technical professionals and other disciplines. Ensures project deliverables and supporting documentation are complete, understandable, conform to applicable and reasonable standards relative to their intended purpose, including client and HDR requirements. Is responsible to coordinate the staffing and workload through the entire project development to complete documents on schedule. Works with Business/Accounting Manager, Project Controller or Company Controller and the Department Manager or Managing Principal for project reviews. Responsible for implementing QA/QC procedures and completing reviews of roadway plans for complex projects. Responsible for execution of training for personnel as established by strategic plans. Acts as mentor/supervisor for less experienced Project Managers. Maintains professional engineering registration. Primary duties of the Senior Roadway Manager also include establishing and growing client relations through industry involvement and networking in the interests of increasing market share. Senior Roadway Manager is also involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 10 years related experience
  • A minimum 5 years project management experience
  • Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.
  • MS Office and MS Project experience (Access experience would be plus)
  • Demonstrated leadership, business development and strategic planning skills
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Nice To Haves

  • BSCE is required MSCE preferred.
  • PE license required.
  • 20+ years including project/client management.
  • Experience in the Pennsylvania marketplace preferred.
  • Previous PennDOT and/or PTC work experience with an A/E/C Engineering firm preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to work with various teams, and project management skills desirable.
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
