About The Position
Senior Roadway Design Project Manager DKS Associates is growing in Central Texas and Nationwide. This growth has sparked the need to hire a Senior Roadway Design Project Manager for our Austin, Texas location. This position will manage the design of various transportation engineering projects while also focusing on Business Development to further expand DKS’s presence in Texas. Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation, or similar field
- PE license required
- 10+ years of experience in roadway design in Texas
- Project management or task lead experience required
- Basic understanding of MicroStation/OpenRoads software packages
- Working knowledge of industry practices and regulations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work with employees in various locations
Nice To Haves
- Experience with local Central Texas Agencies is preferred
Responsibilities
- Managing roadway design projects of varying complexity including scope, schedule, budget, earned value analysis, staffing allocation, and accounts receivable
- Overseeing and reviewing the preparation of final design plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E) for roadway engineering projects
- Attending client and project design team meetings to provide project updates, resolve design issues, and coordinate design elements with other disciplines
- Building relationships with clients
- Mentoring junior staff in their professional growth and enhancing their skills
- Pursuing additional professional growth opportunities in project management, business development, technical expertise, etc.
