Centra Credit Union has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Senior Risk Management Analyst located at our Corporate Headquarters in Columbus, Indiana. The Senior Risk Management Analyst is responsible for assisting the VP Risk and Loss Management in ensuring the Credit Union maintains a culture of risk awareness, directing and improving risk management programs and processes, and promoting risk management competence. The Senior Analyst plays a key role in fostering positive relationships across branches, departments, and the Risk Management team. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Related Field
  • Three years to five years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience

Responsibilities

  • Administers the scheduling and regular updates of company-wide Risk Assessments.
  • Collaborates with lines of business to create and maintain Risk Assessments, including identifying and evaluating risks and controls.
  • Works regularly with the SVP and VP of Risk Management to actively use and stay up to date on the most effective and efficient applications of the Risk Management software, as well as other systems that coordinate with and support it.
  • Evaluates examiner focus areas, informs Lines of Business of expectations, and recommends improvements to current processes and controls.
  • Assists Lines of Business in implementing improvements to processes and controls.
  • Tracks management responses and monitors completion of action items.
  • Identifies and leads quality assurance and risk reviews and targeted testing in high-risk areas, ensuring thorough evaluation and documentation of findings.
  • Consults and collaborates with Lines of Business.
  • Promotes positive interactions between branches, departments, and Risk Management team.
  • Provides support for Branch Review processes in coordination with stakeholders.
  • Supports the execution of Branch cash reviews, physical security assessments, evaluations of Branch self-audit materials, clean desk reviews, and semi-annual cash limit analyses.
  • Assists in reporting findings, recommending improvements, and contributing to Retail and Deposit Operations risk analysis of opportunities.
  • Possesses general working knowledge of corporate insurance policies and legal processes to provide backup support as needed, including assisting with claims, vendor coordination, subpoenas, litigation support, and collaboration with external agencies.
  • Actively participates in projects and initiatives by providing risk support as needed.
  • Assists project leaders in identifying risk implications and ensures alignment with strategic goals set by leadership.
  • Manages the operational aspects of the Model Risk Management Program, including maintaining appropriate schedule, supporting Lines of Business in identifying and validating models.
  • Coordinates validation activities, compiles results, and assists in tracking remediation efforts and management responses.
  • Facilitates the execution of external risk reviews.
  • Supports logistics, documentation, and communication of review outcomes to appropriate managers.
  • Monitors follow-up actions and contributes to reporting for leadership.
  • Works collaboratively with leadership team to oversee the efficient and effective management of the Risk department.
