About The Position

About the Team: The Sensors Division specializes in the development of advanced sensor systems, with a particular focus on airborne and surface-based radar, space-based sensing, electronic warfare, and underwater acoustics. This position is within the Space Missions and Sensing (SMS) Sector of the Sensors Division. In this sector, we develop and deliver technology to advance space-based sensing, space control, and counter-sensing missions. The Role: The SMS Sector is seeking a Senior RF signal processing scientist to support algorithm development in a Research & Development environment. In this role, you will be an integral part of a team developing a cutting-edge space-based radar system. Your responsibilities will include utilizing and advancing existing signal processing algorithms and analytics tools. What you will do: Design signal processing and data exploitation algorithms that support day to day satellite operations Conduct performance analysis through simulations and real-world testing to validate system performance Communicate effectively with internal teams and stakeholders to convey technical concepts and project updates Who you are: Active Security Clearance at the Secret (S) level BS or MS in Physics, Applied Mathematics, Electrical Engineering 3-5+ years of experience depending on degree Radar signal processing, statistical signal processing background (detection, estimation) Proficiency in MATLAB and/or Python programming languages Even Better: Past experience in space-based remote sensing (e.g. SAR, signal exploitation) Expertise in linear algebra, mathematical optimization a plus PhD in Applied Mathematics, Electrical Engineering with research background related to radar, radar signal processing in lieu of experience Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $134,000 - $184,000 The salary range listed is based on external market data. Offers are based on factors, such as but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, education, training, key skills/critical skills, security clearances, and prevailing market and business conditions. Requirements
