And the rest of the Finance department, Accounting team, & their cross-functional partners What: A collaborative Senior Revenue Accountant with outstanding judgement and deep technical understanding. When: ASAP! We are looking to hire and onboard a new hire as soon as we find the right person for the job. Exciting work awaits! Where: Our office hub location of New York – you will be required to be in office 1+ days per week in alignment with our office work policy. Why: This highly visible role will be instrumental in owning and evolving Spotnana’s revenue accounting and supporting our complex customer billing processes as the company scales. The Senior Revenue Accountant will apply deep technical accounting expertise, strong judgment, and analytical rigor to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant revenue recognition and billing in accordance with ASC 606. The ideal candidate is a collaborative problem-solver who partners closely with cross-functional partners to evaluate complex revenue arrangements, improve systems and processes, and strengthen internal controls. You’ll deliver actionable revenue insights that support strategic decision-making while helping to build scalable, best-in-class accounting practices. This is a unique opportunity to play a meaningful role in shaping a world-class accounting function at Spotnana. Requirements

  • Bachelor's in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field, CPA a plus
  • 4+ years of accounting or related experience, travel or technology experience a plus
  • Strong understanding of ASC 606 and application to accounting processes
  • Advanced excel, MS office, and/or G Suite skills
  • Experience with ERP systems, MS Dynamics preferred
  • Solid communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships with partners and cross functional teams
  • Commitment to continued improvement as demonstrated by streamlining processes
  • Flexible in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end revenue recognition and support customer billing in compliance with ASC 606
  • Apply sound judgment to evaluate complex, non-standard customer contracts
  • Build and optimize scalable revenue accounting processes, systems, and controls
  • Partner cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders
  • Lead accurate, timely month-end close for revenue and deferred revenue
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations for customer subledgers and revenue accounts
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for revenue-related audit inquiries
  • Perform monthly revenue variance analysis and present key drivers and insights to the team
  • Other accounting related responsibilities as needed
