About The Position

As a Sr. Retirement Plan Consultant at Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA), you will be part of a team that delivers purposeful work and meaningful impact. MMA provides business insurance, employee health & benefits, retirement, and private client insurance solutions. The role requires building strong partnerships with clients and vendors, managing pricing strategies, supporting the sales process, and facilitating plan design and investment changes. You will also serve as a Relationship Manager, providing service and education to institutional clientele while staying abreast of market trends and regulatory issues.

Requirements

  • Minimum of Bachelor's Degree or higher (Major in Business Administration preferred).
  • Minimum of 7 Years Experience in working with Retirement Plan Sponsors.
  • Demonstrated confidence of topical knowledge in the industry.
  • Knowledge of defined contribution financial products and services.
  • Customer-focused with a passion for delighting customers.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Understanding of the financial services industry.
  • Openness to new ways of thinking and learning agility.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Motivated self-starter who enjoys working independently.
  • Willingness to develop new business opportunities.
  • Able to obtain Series 65 or Series 66 license within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Build strong partnerships with clients and vendors based on mutual goals.
  • Prepare, deliver, and follow through from client meetings (plan reviews) conducted in person or via conference call.
  • Manage pricing strategy, RFIs, RFPs, and benchmarking for current clients.
  • Support the sales process for new business.
  • Facilitate plan design and investment changes with the recordkeeper.
  • Complete analysis and resolve common operational issues.
  • Work with clients to address investment matters and design participant education strategies.
  • Participate in education and project-related support as needed.
  • Stay informed about current market, business, regulatory, and legislative issues to facilitate discussions with clients.
  • Serve as a Relationship Manager to the firm's institutional clientele.
