About The Position

Responsible for the delivery of training content to include new hires, current staff including platform personnel, customer engagement and service and other training initiatives. Leads training programs, facilitates the onboarding of Retail Field Trainers, and is responsible for maintaining a group of eligible Retail Field Trainers. Ability to deliver content using various media and electronic delivery channels. Working in consultation with the Learning and Development Manager, the Senior Training Associate reviews and updates all content to ensure the learning objectives are clearly defined including but not limited to technical/system training, job skills training and compliance. Responsible for scheduling, room and hardware logistics, and material preparation. Provides guidance in the development of Training Associates. Maintains confidentiality of highly sensitive material.

Requirements

4 year college degree or equivalent education/work experience
2 years training experience and facilitation skills required
Minimum 3 years of retail banking experience required
Excellent listening, communication skills are necessary.
Organizational, interpersonal and customer relation skills.
Ability to function in a fast paced, ever-changing environment.
Problem solving/decision making skills.
Critical thinker in the development and assessment of participant progress and course content.
Skilled in delivering instructional material appropriate to varying audiences.
Proficient in facilitating and delivering training through various channels as appropriate (in person, virtual, webinars, etc.).
Demonstrates a strong training aptitude
Proficient PC Skills.
Must possess a willingness to learn new systems in business areas for which the incumbent may have limited prior experience.
Position requires a confidence and positive attitude to master specific aspects of technology, systems, policy and procedure and convey that knowledge and confidence to those receiving the information and skills.
Independent decision-maker.
Driver's License required
Reliable transportation required

Responsibilities

Responsible for the recruiting and onboarding of Retail Field Trainers.
Leads and oversees ongoing training programs, including Introduction to Retail Banking.
Supervise and evaluate the daily activities of participants while leading a class.
Independent decision-maker on the assessment of participant's progress.
Provide feedback on the Retail Field Trainer and participants' progress to their supervisor.
Leads the evaluation of training content as needed to incorporate any new sales/service techniques, policy & procedure changes and/or system updates.
Responsible for keeping content fresh, relevant and interactive for the audience.
Assist in the design of any new training programs that have been identified by the Learning and Development Team.
Delivers Retail Banking training content.
Assist in the development and delivery of training programs designed to provide the necessary skills to all levels of retail banking positions to include: processing teller transactions, account opening, originating and closing loans, sales activities and best practices and customer experience.
Identify and implement best practices for delivery of training to meet the needs of the various audiences that will be trained across our footprint.
Deliver training programs as required.
Responsible for the coordination of sessions.
Communicates and organizes training programs in coordination with Branch, Market, and Territory Managers.
Works with business partners to ensure trainee scheduling and participation.
Participate on committees in support of training needs.
Attend various meetings at Bancorp and Territory/Market level as a liaison.
