In addition to providing exceptional customer service, the Senior Retail Sales Associate will perform daily assigned duties, which include operating cash registers, following established cash handling procedures, and adhering to company policies and loss prevention procedures. The associate will also be responsible for maintaining a safe working environment, which includes the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as necessary. Maintaining the store's appearance and merchandising standards is also a key responsibility, ensuring that the store is inviting and well-organized for customers. The Senior Retail Sales Associate will utilize AutoZone's systems, such as ZNET, to assist customers in locating merchandise or finding suitable alternatives. A strong product knowledge and awareness of current promotions is essential for this role, as it enables the associate to provide informed recommendations to customers. The position also involves practical tasks such as assisting with the installation of wiper blades, batteries, and light bulbs, as well as using OBDII to read codes from customers' automobiles. The ability to diagnose automobile problems and recommend appropriate solutions is a valuable skill for this position. Communication with managers regarding customer concerns and employee matters is also an important aspect of the role, as is the ongoing development of customer service skills.
