About The Position

Senior Respiratory Care Practitioner at Providence Saint John’s Health Center in Santa Monica, CA. This position is Part time and will work 12-hour, Day shifts. Under the general supervision of Assesses need, administers, and evaluates response to respiratory care procedures such as oxygen therapy and bronchial hygiene therapies such as HHN and PD/CPT. Provides invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilatory support and CPR. Attends high-risk deliveries and evaluates newborns status including intubations when necessary. Performs arterial, capillary, and cord blood draws and analyzed with an Arterial Blood gas instrument. Assist nursing staff with EKG's and Cardiac Heart Disease screening tests. Requirements

  • Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement.
  • California Respiratory Care Practitioner License Or California Temporary Respiratory Care Practitioner
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association
  • National Provider PALS - American Heart Association
  • 1 year Experience following RCP licensure.

Nice To Haves

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - National Board for Respiratory Care (for all therapists)
  • Neonatal Pediatric Specialty (RRT-NPS) - National Board for Respiratory Care
