Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Provide dormitory supervision and ensure a safe environment for Job Corps students.
  • Monitor student progress towards performance contract goals and objectives.
  • Conduct dormitory operations in accordance with center policies and procedures.
  • Provide leadership in social development living areas and ensure staff meet standards.
  • Deliver quality services to students to support their growth in Career Success Standards.
  • Develop and implement training plans for staff and document training sessions.
  • Oversee center operations during off-hours as the Senior Residential Counselor.
  • Create an environment that promotes positive employment behaviors among students.
  • Support the dorm leadership program and participate in continuing education initiatives.
  • Manage student incidents and ensure individual meetings address issues effectively.
  • Maintain student files and ensure accurate documentation of services provided.
  • Conduct dormitory inspections and ensure cleanliness and safety of living areas.
  • Complete work orders for maintenance and document relevant information in dorm logs.
  • Provide training on social development and independent living skills to students.
