Our Southeast Water business is seeking a skilled and motivated Resident Project Representative (RPR) to join our team based in Bowie, MD or Chantilly, VA. In this pivotal role, you'll serve as an on-site representative for medium-to-large-scale water and wastewater treatment facility construction projects—ranging from $2M to over $100M in value—mostly within a 50-mile radius of our Bowie office. As an RPR, you'll be the primary liaison between GHD, the Owner, and the Contractor, ensuring every aspect of construction aligns with the contract documents. You'll oversee critical infrastructure improvements that directly enhance public health and environmental sustainability.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED; degrees, certifications, and other documented trainings and education a plus
  • 10+ years of experience in general contracting, construction inspection and/or construction management, with a focus in water and wastewater treatment facility projects
  • Familiar with the current MDE and/or DEQ Standards and Specification for Soil Erosion & Sediment Control
  • Experience with soils compaction and cast-in-place concrete testing
  • Familiarity with electrical systems and process controls, especially within water or wastewater treatment facilities
  • Experience in overseeing construction of multiple trades, including civil, structural, architectural, HVAC, plumbing, process mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation and controls
  • Familiar with various construction means and methods of pipeline identification, tracing, pressure testing, and installation procedures
  • Experience working with multiple subcontractors and demonstrated effective communication with clients, owners and contractors
  • Experience with construction management software platforms (Procore a plus)
  • Familiarity with Davis-Bacon and various Buy-American requirements that may be imposed by project funding agencies
  • Ability to work within a team of other inspectors or engineers on larger projects

  • Supervising inspection teams on larger projects
  • Leading weekly coordination meetings
  • Reviewing construction materials and submittals
  • Managing third-party testing
  • Supporting Owner operations during shutdowns and transitions
  • Maintaining redline drawings
  • Assisting with contract closeout
  • Participating in system testing and startup
  • Leveraging GHD's web-based document management system to keep construction documentation organized and accessible
  • Managing day-to-day relationships with contract service providers
  • Delivering small- or medium-scale projects
  • Working within established knowledge management systems
  • Defining and delivering services that meet customer needs
  • Working within established procedures to achieve specified goals
  • Identifying shortcomings in existing processes, systems, and procedures

Benefits

  • Salary range: $45.00-$55.00/hour based on experience
