About The Position

As Gannett Fleming Transystems continues to expand our client and project portfolio in the West Region, we are excited to identify an experienced Senior Resident Engineer throughout the Central Valley Area of California. With little or no supervision, acts as Owner Agent to provide construction management and inspection services for a wide variety of projects that may include, transportation and transit facilities. Performs assignments that may not be clearly defined and requires the development of construction documents, procedures, and criteria. Performs oversight of multiple projects simultaneously.

Requirements

• Bachelor's in Civil Engineering required.
• PE licensed in the State of California. May be reciprocated from other State licensing boards.
• Experience as a Resident Engineer on Caltrans or similar transportation projects.
• 10+ years' experience.
• Experience with Primavera P6 preferred.
• 10-hour OSHA Safety course preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Must possess a driver's license to fulfill the essential functions of the position.

Responsibilities

• Conducts and documents project meetings with clients.
• Manages construction field personnel, including teaming partners.
• Negotiates and approves construction change orders.
• Responds to Requests for Information (RFIs).
• Prepares proposals and presentations.
• Prepares and monitors project schedules and budgets.
• Prepares and issues reports and correspondence.
• Approves quantities for measurement and payment purposes.
• Approves construction payment applications.
• Resolves technical issues.
• Performs constructability reviews and value engineering studies.
• Leads Risk Management assessments.
• Prepares and monitors Quality Control and Assurance Plans.
• Develops Standard Operating Procedures.
