The Department of Immunology at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is seeking a Senior Researcher to support and advance imaging-based investigations within our Microscopy Core facility. This role collaborates closely with scientists to apply state-of-the-art in vitro and in vivo imaging techniques to study immune-cell activation, inflammatory disease mechanisms, autoimmunity, and therapeutic strategies relevant to pediatric oncology. Candidates should hold a degree in cell biology or a related field, possess strong microscopy skills, and demonstrate meticulous experimental and documentation practices; experience with imaging data analysis is preferred. Core responsibilities include supporting core operations, preparing biological samples and maintaining mammalian cell lines, ensuring proper performance of advanced fluorescence imaging systems, and contributing to data acquisition and analysis. The position offers significant professional growth, including training in super-resolution and live-cell imaging, FLIM, FRAP, TIRF, supported lipid bilayers, and multimodal approaches for highly multiplexed in vivo pathology analysis. The ideal candidate will hold a degree in cell biology or a related field, have a strong interest in microscopy, and demonstrate meticulous laboratory practice. Experience with imaging data analysis is preferred but not required.
