Requirements

• PhD, 3-5 years of experience in computational chemistry that includes C++/Python coding and expertise in software packages including TeraChem and Amber.
• University policy requires certain persons who are offered employment to undergo a background check, including a criminal history check, before starting work. If you are offered employment, the university will inform you if a background check is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality computational chemistry research using a combination of machine learning, classical molecular dynamics, and ground/excited state quantum mechanics/molecular mechanics simulations.
• Contribute to writing of manuscripts and grant applications.
• Mentor and teach lab members as appropriate, including manuscript review, technical and research idea support.
• Design and implement code in C++, Python and bash for automation and new software packages that support and expand research efforts for new and previously published software packages, including existing package AutoParams.
• Apply expertise in high performance computing and cloud environments to create and implement automated workflows for research efforts.
• Further professional development and networking by attending conferences, workshops and other relevant opportunities.
