About The Position

The Infrastructure System Lab is a hybrid research and engineering group focused on building next-generation AI-native data infrastructure. ByteBrain is a platform that provides AI services for infrastructure at Bytedance. The goal is to leverage AI to automatically optimize system performance and reduce labor and resource costs. ByteBrain integrates machine learning, LLM and OR techniques to support both internal infrastructure at ByteDance and the Volcano Engine Cloud.

Responsibilities

• Research in the direction of AIOps, AI4DB/Storage/Networking, AI4OR, LLM, NLP&Knowledge Base.
• Design and implement ByteBrain architecture and modules that support the above directions.
• Explore and implement the state-of-the-art methods in the field of AI for systems.
• Collaborate with current and potential teams and BUs to explore more business and research directions and impact.
• Write high quality papers and patent applications.
