The Department of Electrical Engineering of University at Buffalo , is seeking a Senior Research Engineer to support research efforts in wireless Unmanned Aerial Vehicle ( UAV ) networking, the initial appointment is for one year, renewal is expected if progress is satisfactory, and funds are available. Duties in this role include: Conduct cutting-edge research in the development and operational management of microwave and mmWave software radio used for projects related to zero-touch wireless UAV networking. Conduct experimental and field work, including the design, fabrication, and test of UAVs and field experiments of the UAVs sensing and communications. Collaborate and communicate with internal and external collaborators on on-going projects. Participate/assist in manuscript writing for publication in academic journals and/or conference presentations. Participate in grant writing, including generating preliminary data, submitting grant applications, and preparing progress reports. Mentor students on related research projects.
