With an overarching mission to eliminate ageism and ensure the dignity and quality of life of approximately 1.8 million older New Yorkers, the NYC Department for the Aging is deeply committed to helping older adults age in their homes and creating a community-care approach that reflects a model age-inclusive city. Bureau of Planning and Strategic Initiatives (PSI) is the data analysis and research arm of the agency. The Research & Program Evaluation unit is composed of experts in research and evaluation design and analytics. Team members conduct program evaluations, needs assessments, and secondary data analysis, as well as work with other consulting, academic, and institutional research groups. The Bureau of Planning and Strategic Initiatives within the Research & Program Evaluation unit seeks a motivated, organized and detail-oriented individual with excellent analytic and quantitative skills to serve as a Senior Research Associate. As a member of this unit, they will actively work with program staff, senior staff, and external partners to effectively collect and analyze data to review impact and outcomes of NYC Aging services. This position requires someone who is comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
