Job Description: Job Family Definition: Performs repair and maintenance associated with manufacturing and assembly. Troubleshoots problems in non-functioning equipment. Dismantles, adjusts, repairs and assembles equipment according to plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, and/or rough sketches or drawings. May perform equipment modification as directed by test/manufacturing engineers. Management Level Definition: Applies extensive knowledge of the job skills, company policies and procedures to complete complex, specialized assignments/tasks in creative and effective ways. Comprehensive understanding of the general/technical aspects of the job. Works on assignments that are complex in nature and require initiative and technical/specialized knowledge to resolve problems and/or develop recommended solutions. Work is completed with minimal supervision and assignments may be completed without established procedures. May determine methods and procedures for new assignments. Typically provides guidance to other non-exempt employees.

Requirements

Typically an Associate's degree or equivalent experience and 10+ years of experience. May include highly experienced individuals performing higher level or equivalent work who are non- degreed or degreed in an unrelated field.
Working knowledge in the field of electromechanical technology and software.
Proficiency in understanding and working with mechanical systems, including motors, conveyors, and hydraulic systems.
Mechanical Aptitude : Proficiency in understanding and working with mechanical systems, including motors, conveyors, and hydraulic systems.
Electrical Knowledge : Intermediate skills to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including wiring and circuits.
Preventative Maintenance : Advanced skills in performing regular maintenance to prevent equipment failures and ensure optimal operation.
PLC Programming : Intermediate knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) for automation and control of manufacturing processes.
Blueprint Reading : Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
Data Analysis: Analyzing maintenance data to identify trends, predict equipment failures, and optimize maintenance strategies.
Lean Manufacturing: Implementing lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste. (CAPA’s)
Software Proficiency: Familiarity with CMMS or SAP software platforms, including their features and functionalities.
Problem-Solving : Advanced analytical skills to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions quickly.
Communication : Clear and effective communication skills to explain technical issues and collaborate with team members.
Attention to Detail : Precision in performing tasks to ensure equipment is maintained correctly and safely.
Time Management : Efficiently managing time to prioritize tasks and complete maintenance activities within deadlines.
Teamwork : Ability to work well in a team environment, supporting colleagues and contributing to group efforts.
Adaptability : Flexibility to adapt to new technologies, methods, and changes in the work environment.
Safety Protocols : Knowledge of and adherence to safety standards and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries (LOTO’s).
Emergency Response : Ability to respond effectively to emergencies, including equipment malfunctions and safety incidents.
Chemical Handling: Safe handling and application of chemicals used in the treatment process.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of engineering principles and systems, including electrical, mechanical, and software components.
Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve manufacturing technical problems efficiently.
Attention to Detail: High level of precision in executing and supporting NPI’s tasks.
Adaptability: Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing project requirements.
Collaboration: Work closely with manufacturing operations and engineers to ensure smooth communication and project progress.
