About The Position

AECOM is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Remediation Leader to strengthen and elevate performance within our Houston Texas environmental practice. This role is critical to providing strong technical and people leadership that will drive excellence across large, complex oil & gas remediation programs. Your prior expertise in directly managing a team of experienced professionals will be instrumental to your success in the position as you guide complex project work and bring strategic direction to a significant backlog of active and upcoming sites across Texas. Responsibilities may include: Provide strong leadership, direction, and office management. Successful candidate will be managing a group of 10 to 15 people. You will be in charge of all matters concerning their direction, oversight, reviews, etc. Lead large, complex oil & gas remediation programs, including technical oversight, risk management, client communication, and delivery excellence. Drive performance improvements, rebuild team culture, and implement consistent leadership practices. Manage a significant backlog of remediation sites, ensuring high‑quality execution and on‑time delivery. Strengthen client relationships and lead strategic capture within regional oil & gas environmental markets. Collaborate across business lines to support integrated project delivery. Requirements

  • Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of relevant environmental remediation experience, including leading complex oil & gas projects or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
  • This role is subject to a background check and a motor vehicle records check.

Nice To Haves

  • Proven experience delivering large, multi‑site, or long‑term remediation programs for oil and gas.
  • Refinery investigation and remediation experience and knowledge of Texas environmental regulations.
  • Ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams and maintain strong client engagement.
  • Deep knowledge of remediation strategies, regulatory requirements, and oil & gas environmental programs.
  • 2 plus years of prior leadership experience, with people management and large project/program management.
