About The Position

Requirements

  • BS/BA Degree or Masters in Urban Planning, Economics, Public, Business Administration, or Finance.
  • Minimum of 15 years' experience in affordable housing through real estate lending, community development, or real estate development.
  • Ability to perform credit analyses and determine repayment probability using risk management matrices.
  • Experience in analyzing application packages, conducting due diligence, and drafting credit memoranda.
  • Skilled in word processing (Word), spreadsheets (Excel), and presentations (PowerPoint).
  • Access to reliable transportation, current driver's license, and insurance.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant experience in a non-affordable housing field.
  • Ability to make presentations to potential borrower clients and community leaders.
  • Experience in managing time, multiple demands, and competing priorities effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for business relationships and Century's brand awareness and policy direction in Northern California, focusing on the Bay Area and Sacramento.
  • Grow existing relationships and source new borrowing relationships.
  • Prepare and present underwriting packages for Board review and approval, including feasibility analysis, credit, financial, and risk analyses.
  • Negotiate loan terms with borrowers while balancing client needs with risk mitigants and profitability hurdles.
  • Work within Century's strategic marketing plan to maintain and build relationships in Northern California.
  • Manage grant opportunities and ensure compliance with program requirements.
  • Represent Century Housing in the community, at developer events, and with policymakers and government agencies.
