About The Position

Senior Regulatory Analyst – Safety Analysis and Sharing Support Position Overview The Senior Regulatory Analyst provides analytical, technical, and coordination support to the FAA's Aviation Safety Information Analysis and Sharing (ASIAS) program. This role supports aviation safety analysis, regulatory information sharing, data standards development, and safety outreach activities. The Senior Regulatory Analyst works closely with FAA program offices, safety teams, domestic and international aviation stakeholders, and the aerospace community to support informed regulatory decision-making and continuous aviation safety improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Public Policy, Regulatory Affairs, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in aviation safety analysis, regulatory support, or information-sharing programs.
• Experience supporting FAA, DOT, or other Federal regulatory or safety programs (preferred).
• Familiarity with aviation safety data, ASIAS, and regulatory decision-support processes.
• Strong analytical, writing, and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated experience coordinating regulatory meetings, safety conferences, or technical working groups.

Responsibilities

• Provide preparatory, on-site, and post-meeting support for safety analysis, regulatory coordination, and information-sharing events.
• Plan and coordinate regional, national, and international safety team meetings and conferences.
• Arrange meeting logistics including venues, facilities, lodging, meals, technical presentations, and exhibit halls.
• Provide on-site support for registration, attendee coordination, and required security arrangements.
• Prepare and distribute meeting minutes, proceedings, and supporting documentation.
• Develop and disseminate principal publications and outreach materials as directed.
• Coordinate with vendors, temporary services firms, transportation providers, and partner organizations.
• Prepare and distribute meeting records in FAA-approved formats (e.g., PowerPoint, PDF).
• Ensure clear identification as a contractor in all written, electronic, and in-person communications.
• Conduct aviation safety analytical studies to support regulatory and safety decision-making.
• Analyze complex aviation safety data using FAA-sponsored tools, including the ASIAS system.
• Prepare technical papers, analytical reports, and presentations on safety findings and trends.
• Identify and evaluate new data and information sources to enhance aviation safety analysis.
• Evaluate analytical tools and methodologies for applicability to aviation safety and regulatory analysis.
• Develop, maintain, and disseminate analytical models and methodologies for hazard identification and safety performance monitoring.
• Provide ASIAS portal user training, demonstrations, and technical support.
• Conduct briefings to demonstrate ASIAS portal capabilities to FAA offices and external stakeholders.
• Facilitate InfoShare safety conferences to support protected information-sharing.
• Develop and maintain metadata including definitions, business rules, and contextual information.
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT) for new ASIAS databases and analytical capabilities.
• Serve as a conduit for industry feedback and continuous improvement recommendations to FAA program managers.
• Support FAA participation in the development, promotion, and adoption of aviation safety data standards.
• Collaborate with domestic and international aviation data experts, regulators, and safety organizations.
• Research aviation safety data to support safety teams and regulatory working groups.
• Maintain safety team rosters, regulatory contact lists, and collaboration tools.
• Facilitate discussions and consensus-building among aviation data and regulatory experts.
• Provide meeting and conference support promoting FAA safety initiatives and regulatory programs.
• Prepare research summaries, briefing materials, and outreach products.
• Maintain electronic records and databases of valid data values, standards, and taxonomies.
• Develop data models supporting the establishment and evolution of aviation data standards and taxonomies.
