About The Position

The Senior Registered Nurse Supervisor at Florida State Hospital is responsible for leading the nursing team to ensure high-quality care for residents in a civil mental health facility. Requirements

• Licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in accordance with Florida Statute 464.
• Three years of Registered Nursing experience, including at least one year in a specialty area or a Master's of Science degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university.
• Knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and techniques.
• Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology.
• Ability to work with patients having a variety of physical problems.
• Ability to supervise people and determine work priorities.
• Ability to communicate effectively and establish working relationships.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including CPR and emergency evacuations.
• Ability to work extended shifts and maintain alertness on duty.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing and direct care staff, providing 24/7 guidance.
• Monitor, evaluate, and ensure the delivery of top-tier nursing care.

• Lead, motivate, and evaluate nursing staff, participating in hiring and training.
• Develop and revise nursing policies and procedures.
