About The Position

Community Options, Inc. is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 12 states. We are now seeking a Senior Regional Behavior Support Manager in Eastern & Western PA. The Senior Regional Behavior Support Manager uses best practices and technology within a community-based setting to teach people with developmental disabilities how to acquire the physical, intellectual, emotional, and social skills needed to live as independently as possible. This individual must be able to handle the pressure of training in a public environment, exercise patience, work with flexible schedules, respond to crisis situations, and provide appropriate oversight to Behavior Support Managers. Starting pay is $85,000/ per year

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Master’s degree in behavioral analysis, psychology, or related field
  • Minimum one year experience in the development and implementation of behavioral support plans
  • Valid driver’s license with good driving record
  • Knowledge of Positive Behavioral Supports
  • Ability to conduct functional behavioral assessments
  • Ability to collect, interpret, and graph data
  • Knowledge and understanding of local regulatory agency operations
  • Understanding and commitment to community-based support for persons with disabilities
  • Flexibility to deal with people at a variety of levels, both internally and externally
  • Ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form
  • Excellent time management skills
  • First aid, CPR, OSHA, and medication certification course within first 90 days of employment, and any required residential or state training

Nice To Haves

  • BCBA or BCaBA certification strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee multiple regions across the organization
  • Manage and oversee duties of behavioral support staff
  • Perform one on one observation and interaction with individuals
  • Attend staff meetings as required
  • Complete functional behavioral assessments for identified individuals
  • Create prevention plans and support plans as needed
  • Train staff on implementation of plans
  • Participate in Circle(s) of Support for personal future planning
  • Prepare progress reports for consumer's immediate support group, including their family and/or guardian, staff, employment specialist, case manager, and other professionals
  • Serve as an active member of each person’s Inter-Disciplinary Team (IDT), which includes involvement in Individual Habilitation Plan development
  • Attend conferences, seminars, and training as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Employee must cooperate with the license and department staff in any inspection, inquiry, or investigation
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of checks of criminal background, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing
