Responsibilities All aspects of commercial real estate transaction diligence, including review of corporate entity documents and property level diligence. Review and summarize leases and other material property agreements; providing relevant risk analysis to clients. Prepare, review and analyze title abstracts, deeds, surveys, and other relevant documents for accuracy and completeness; summarize findings and recommendations for further action. Support multi-state commercial transactions, including managing diligence workstreams with paralegals and other third party service providers to streamline transactional processes and resolve legal issues efficiently. Review underlying title exception documents; review title insurance commitments; review surveys and property descriptions (including negotiation of survey certifications); negotiate title insurance coverage on complex commercial transactions; negotiate title endorsements and affirmative coverage; act as primary contact with surveyors and title companies. Assist in drafting legal documents such as leases, access agreements, escrow instruction letters, mortgages, releases, deeds and affidavits related to real estate transactions. Assist with the arrangement and oversight of escrow closings with title companies. Communicate and collaborate effectively with attorneys, clients, title companies, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and expedite transactions. Maintain organized files and documentation to support transactional processes. Follow relevant current developments in the title industry and report back to the group. Other responsibilities as they may be assigned from time. Manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
