About The Position
This position provides hybrid telework opportunities, with employees required to work in person at their designated approved HQ location at least two (2) days per week and as needed/required. Beginning July 1, 2025, all DGS employees will be required to work in office at their assigned HQ location four (4) days per week and as needed/required in alignment with Executive Order N-22-25. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment. Under the general direction of the Supervising Real Estate Officer, Real Property Services Section, the Senior Real Estate Officer (Specialist) performs independent analysis primarily involving appraisal reviews; prepares appraisals; performs real estate due diligence; reviews acquisition documents; reports findings to assist the acquisition, sale, financing, or lease of private property or property owned by subdivisions of the state for state use, or of state owned property for private and other non-state public use; and review and/or preparation of documents to accomplish the transfer of real property rights.
