About The Position
This position provides hybrid telework opportunities, with employees required to work in person at their designated approved HQ location at least two (2) days per week and as needed/required. Beginning July 1, 2025, all DGS employees will be required to work in office at their assigned HQ location four (4) days per week and as needed/required in alignment with Executive Order N-22-25. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment. Under the general direction of the Supervising Real Estate Officer, the Senior Real Estate Officer (Specialist) in the Acquisition Unit performs the following highly specialized duties on the most difficult, complex and/or sensitive projects: independent analysis, completes or reviews appraisals, reviews acquisitions and sales packages, completes due diligence reports, facilitates transactions, licenses, permits, and leases of real property in accordance with the Real Estate Services Section Policy and Procedures Manual, State Administrative Manual, and various state and federal codes and regulations as guidelines in order to provide the services requested by external and internal customers such as those from the Department of Finance, client agencies, local agencies, private sector, and special legislation.
