About The Position

The Sr. RCM Analyst will help to maximize the financial health of Raleigh Radiology by ensuring cash flow, efficiency, and Revenue Integrity, maintaining regulatory compliance, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to enhance revenue cycle performance. This role plays a critical part in ensuring financial health and operational efficiency by analyzing data, identifying trends, and implementing strategic improvements. Flexibility, dependability, and professionalism are required. Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.

  • Technical Skills and Qualifications/ Computer literate: Experience with Excel, Microsoft Word or similar software Power BI, Scheduling Systems, Royal Health Inc (is a plus), ERM systems, Payer portals
  • Education: Associates ' or Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance preferred, or a related field, or in lieu of education requirement, 4 years of relevant experience in revenue cycle management.
  • Experience: Previous experience in the healthcare or hospital setting is required. 4+ years of progressively responsible experience and training. Experience managing outsourced RCM vendors.
  • Certifications: Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (CRC), Certified Professional Biller (CPB), Certified Professional Medical Auditor (CPMA), or similar backgrounds.

Responsibilities

  • Revenue Cycle Management: Oversee outsourced billing operations (coding, A/R, payment posting, collections, compliance).
  • Communicate with patients regarding bills and financial assistance.
  • Implement strategies to reduce denials and optimize revenue.
  • Maintain strong relationships with payers, providers, and internal teams.
  • Approve/deny financial assistance and refund requests.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial reports and KPIs (A/R aging, denial rates, clean claim rates, etc.).
  • Identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain cash flow forecasting models and provide real-time cash position reports.
  • Compliance & Training: Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations (HIPAA, CMS, AMA standards, No Surprise Act).
  • Monitor RCM compliance issues.
  • Conduct audits and educate staff, providers, and patients on revenue cycle policies.
